LEVELS OF TEACHING

From level to level.

We know exactly what you will learn and when you will learn it.

Elementary

Level A1

What will you know?
At the A1 level, you understand and use everyday expressions and formulate simple sentences. You can introduce yourself and others, ask questions about someone and answer similar questions. You can communicate if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to help with the language.

What can you pass?

  • Goethe-Zertifikat: Fit in Deutsch 1 – for young people between 10 and 16 years old.
  • Goethe-Zertifikat: Start Deutsch 1 – intended for adults. It confirms the basic knowledge of German.

Level A2

What will you know?
At the A2 level, you understand sentences and often use expressions from everyday life. You communicate in simple and routine situations. You can describe in simple terms your background, education, immediate surroundings, and everyday things.

What can you pass?

  • Goethe-Zertifikat: Fit in Deutsch – for young people between 10 and 16 years old.
  • Goethe-Zertifikat A2 – intended for adults. It confirms the knowledge of German at A2 level.Goethe-Zertifikat: 

Intermediate

Level B1

Niemiecki na poziomie B1

​What will you know?
At the B1 level, you understand the main points when standard language is used, especially if it’s about work, school, hobbies, etc. You can manage most travel situations. You can talk briefly about topics you know or are interested in.

What can you pass?

  • Goethe Zertifikat B1 – valued by employers as a confirmation of practical, basic knowledge of German in everyday communication.

Level B1+

Due to the large amount of material that needs to be mastered before starting B2 level, when planning your course we suggest considering classes at B1+ level.
This is a level that reviews, repeats and develops the skills acquired at level B1.

Level B1+ replaces previous levels B2.1 and B2.2 from the standard course.

Level B1+ is not a stand-alone level and therefore there is no dedicated examination for it.

Level B2

What will you know?
At the B2 level, you grasp the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field. You can chat fluently and spontaneously, making regular conversations with native speakers effortless for both sides. You can clearly and detailedly discuss a broad array of subjects.

What can you pass?

  • Goethe Zertifikat B2 – it is a strong bargaining chip when applying for a job, where language knowledge at B2 level is required.

Advanced

Level C1

Niemiecki na poziomie C1

What will you know?
At C1 level, you grasp complex, longer statements and sophisticated texts. You skillfully tap into your extensive vocabulary in social, professional, and academic settings. You can clearly discuss intricate topics while keeping your sentence structure on point.

What can you pass?

  • Goethe Zertifikat C1 – recognised by employers all over the world. It opens the door to some universities in German-speaking countries.

Level C2

What will you know?
At C2 level, you effortlessly understand almost everything you read and hear. You can voice your thoughts spontaneously, fluidly, and pinpoint subtle nuances in meaning for intricate topics.

What can you pass?

  • Goethe Zertifikat C2 Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom – it is a highly regarded diploma in professional life that proves excellent skills in the German language. Holders of a C2 diploma are exempt from the German language entrance exam at German universities.
